Here is a pic of the muffler body that I got from my friend Steve today. It has this neat little rolled and crimped seam in it. It is just like original what a nice piece.

He also sent me this gaured metal for my fender braces. This is nice stuff!

Check out the rounded edges. This is exactly the same as original brace material!

Here are the braces for the center stand. I couldn't find the material with a rounded edge so I sheered some .625 strips and radius ed the edges on the belt sander, then I bent them to fit my center stand.

Here they are ready to rivet on. I can not do this step until I have my race frame, which should be later on this week.

Well my rockers are coming along nicely. This whole process has been a real challenge but at the same time a lot of fun. Designing parts is a blast! In this picture Iam boring a 1.75 hole into the rocker for the axle block to fit into. I did both rockers in the same set up, although I had to offset the rocker spacing accordingly.

Here is the other side. This is an interrupted cut, so it was kind of a pain and slow going.

Here is the latest picture of them. My next step is to make some rocker studs and then figure out the necessary spacing for welding the axle blocks into place. Holy moly what a bunch of work.

Christmas came early in south dakota today. I got my spare set of cylinders from Tim in california. I bought two extra motors and a spare set of cylinders from him. They are really nice.

Here is a pic of my fly wheel being machined I bought a set of jd wheel blanks from Paul Osbourne. I have them roughed in, but still have a lot of machining to do!
Here is the blank before any chips were made.

Here is the first step in the tripple clamp that I made for my sears project. I welded the three pieces to a straight piece of plate, so they would stay in line.

Then I made up some pinch blocks. The ones on this side have .312 through hole, and the blocks on the other side have a drilled and tapped 5/16 fine threaded hole

Then I welded it all together. The left side has not been ground, and the right side has

Here is the finished piece. Three weeks ago I didn't have one part for this project, and today I got to make my first piece for the sears. I should have my motor, and frontend pieces in a week or two.
